How Do I Choose the Right Hair Care Product for Me?

It can be a little overwhelming to try to figure out which products to use for your hair since there are so many options out there. We carry a hair care line here at Salon Le Volume called Davines. One of the reasons why we like this brand so much is because their products can be used on any hair type. Whether you have thick hair, thin hair, wavy hair, straight hair, or curly hair, Davines professional products will be great for any hair type! Clean Hair Care Line, All While Helping the Environment

Another reason why we like Davines so much is because it is a family-oriented company that focuses on sustainability and helping the environment. They are based out of Italy, and they focus on ingredients from local farms. We had the chance to go to Brooklyn, New York where the Davines Style House is, one of their training centers, and were able to get immersed with the company and learn about the brand.

We also learned about how to be a Green Circle Salon. We now recycle all of our foils, hair clippings, color tubes, and excess color. We separate it all out and then ship it off and it gets recycled, rather than going into the waterways and landfills.

By being a Green Circle Salon, we have saved 81 pounds of waste so far! It’s great for us to be able to make an impact like that on the environment.

Best Selling Products

Davines OI Line is our best seller. A great thing about the OI Line is that the products have Roucou Oil in them which is going to be a UV protectant. This is great because so many of us spend quite a bit of time outdoors, and having sun protection for our hair is a great way to help keep our hair healthy and strong and maintain its color.

We sell a lot of the OI shampoo and conditioner because it’s not only great for all hair types, but they also add a lot of moisture and shine to your hair which a lot of us struggle with. You can use these products every day or as often as you would like.

Another best-selling item from this line is the OI All In One Milk. It’s a great detangler and is also anti-aging, so it’s going to repair your hair.

Another popular product is the SOLU Shampoo. It’s a clarifying shampoo and we use a lot of this at our salon. It's great for clients who use a lot of hair products. It’s also great for us to use on clients if we are doing a coloring service and need to get rid of any buildup. Our clients love this product for this as well.
